Toddler with a Trach/Vent + G-tube
My name is Ambrose. I’m 16 months old, and I have spent my entire life so far at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for a small omphalocele (repaired), a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (repaired), and a cardiac defect (almost entirely repaired). I have an easygoing and agreeable personality, and I love people. I am mobile and active, and developmentally typical, with some asynchronous milestones due to 8 months of hospitalization from birth. I take almost all of my nutrition via g-tube. I live with my my mom, two big brothers (6yo + 8yo), and our dad in Westfield, IN, and I utilize day shift nursing while my dad works and my mom sleeps. We live in a safe neighborhood in a non-smoking, no-pets home. My dad works full-time (with occasional travel), my mom is a SAHM, and I have two involved grandparents who live a few miles away.
