We are seeking compassionate and reliable home nurses to join our care team for our daughter, Phoebe. She is a former 23-weeker micro-preemie, now 10 months old (6 months corrected). She has BPD and is trach​/​vent dependent. We are anticipating her discharge from the hospital in mid-December and hope to have home nursing support in place as soon as possible. We are prioritizing night shifts as well as day shifts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Care details:
 Phoebe uses an Astral vent, relies on supplemental oxygen, and is currently NG-fed with plans to transition to a G-tube in the coming months. She will come home with various medications both enteral and vent delivered ones. She will have scheduled therapies throughout the week. Home environment:
 We are a non-smoking home with two friendly cats who keep to themselves. We live in a two-story house, but Phoebe’s setup and care will take place downstairs in the main living area with easy access to a bathroom and kitchen. Mom will be home during most shifts, and Dad splits time working from home and in office during the week. Qualities we’re looking for: * Confident and clear communication * Patience * Calmness and gentleness with cares * Reliability and consistency * Vigilance * Detail oriented​/​organized * Comfort caring for infants * Experience with trach​/​vent-dependent kiddos * Comfortable with parents nearby * Willing to be active during the day (walks, stroller outings, doctor appointments, or occasional short day trips) It is most important to us that we find nurses who are willing to collaborate and partner with us as parents to build a solid supportive team that will help Phoebe continue to grow, learn, and thrive as she transitions home.
