We are looking for a dependable and compassionate RN or LPN to provide in-home nursing care for our 5-year-old son, Henry. Henry has Down syndrome and other special healthcare needs. He is nonverbal and has a G-tube, chronic lung disease, immune deficiency requiring regular treatments, focal epilepsy, and other medical needs that require skilled and attentive care. He is an active, happy, and determined little boy who enjoys playing and being around people. Elopment is a concern and he will need constant supervision. His nurse would need to be comfortable with G-tube care, medications, seizure precautions, respiratory needs, and following his established care plan. We are currently looking for: • Tuesday daytime hours • Friday night hours • Saturday daytime or night hours • We are very flexible with scheduling and are happy to work with the right nurse’s availability. Our family consists of Mom and Dad and our three children. We are an active family and enjoy spending time outdoors, having bonfires, hiking, fishing, and spending time together. We live on 1.5 acres in a clean, comfortable home. We have outdoor chickens and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Rocky. Because we have a split-level home and Henry is an active child, the ability to safely navigate stairs and keep up with him is important. Due to his chronic lung disease, we also maintain a strictly smoke-free environment. We are hoping to find someone who is dependable, comfortable caring for a medically complex child, and interested in becoming a consistent part of Henry’s care team. We are very flexible on hours and would love to find the right fit for our family.
